How many of us spent the past few days eating delicious, perhaps not the healthiest foods? It is that time of year when we share holidays with family and friends, and parties with co-workers. The parties are not over yet as New Year's Eve is right around the corner. January 3 is when most of us decide to get healthy and fit and lose those Holiday pounds. Dieting is not sustainable, instead, make lifestyle changes that will become your everyday routine and pounds will come off!

I spent 2 hours at the gym yesterday and spoke to one of their top trainers.

Losing weight quickly can be unhealthy and is not a sustainable way to lose weight. A healthy weight loss goal is to lose 1–2 pounds per week. Here are a few tips to help you safely and sustainably lose weight:

1. Focus on whole, unprocessed foods: Choose foods that are high in nutrients and low in calories, such as fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains. Avoid processed and packaged foods, which are often high in added sugars and unhealthy ingredients.

2. Incorporate physical activity: Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise or 75 minutes of vigorous-intensity exercise per week. You can also try incorporating more movement into your daily routine, such as taking the stairs instead of the…
